Instructors have provided the following information to generally describe what to expect in their classes.

Physical Science

Class Format

Face-to-face sections of Physical Science 120 (PSCI 120) are mixed lecture and lab. Lectures align with course objectives, textbook and provide introductions to the course topics in the day to day. Lectures are followed by interactive labs that include problem solving, investigations and collaborations. In class assignments are collaborative to support personal development in a learning environment. There are weekly deadlines for any assignments not done within class.

Resource Use

Textbooks are required for the class and are vital supplements to lectures and activities. Students have assigned readings to aid in their understanding of class topics and as a resource for homework questions.

Canvas is a main aspect of the course as it provides additional resources for units, questions and interactions. The Canvas inbox is a useful way to ask questions and receive support.

Labs, quizzes, or exams missed due to absences cannot be made up without prior notification to the instructor. Additional documentation may be requested if arrangements are requested.
