Instructors have provided the following information to generally describe what to expect in their classes.

Math, Biology, Chemistry, Geoscience

Class Format

Face-to-face sections occur once per week, with new information introduced through interactive discussion, and a significant amount of group work time.

Resource Use

Textbooks No textbooks are required for these courses.  UKanTeach will provide all materials.

Calculators No calculators are required for these courses.  UKanTeach will provide all materials.

Computer software No computer software is required, although the course will utilize the D2L course management software.

Online homework Occasionally there is a short assessment delivered online.

Assessment

Assessment occurs through attendance, participation in required activities, lesson writing assignments, and reflections. 

Homework Policy

Late work is accepted, but will not receive full credit.

Attendance Policy

You are expected to attend all classes, and will lose points for any unexcused absence.  Class participation is critical, since much of the team work produced occurs during class.

Availability

I am available by appointment most days of the week, either at JCCC or at the KU Edwards campus.  I am always available over email.
