Instructors have provided the following information to generally describe what to expect in their classes.

Spanish

I hold a Master’s degree in Spanish from Southern Oregon University and have taught all levels of Spanish across a range of educational settings, including several community colleges, two high schools, and one university. I also studied and lived in Mexico for two years, which greatly enriched my linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding.

My teaching style is communicative and student-centered, emphasizing paired and group activities, meaningful conversation, and active student participation, supported by targeted lectures when appropriate. My goal is to help students build confidence and practical proficiency in Spanish.

I have traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Americas, and I integrate these experiences into my teaching to enhance students’ cultural awareness and real-world language use.
