Early Childhood Education

Focus on hands-on, experiential learning. Become a competent professional who teaches young children from 3 months to age 8. By observing, planning and interacting, discover how you can shape our next generation to be excited about lifelong learning.

Elementary Education

Get started on your teaching journey and stay on track with the guidance of JCCC’s Center for Future Educators. Our education courses transfer to all Kansas Regents institutions and many other colleges across the nation. Participate in research and observe local district classrooms during your early semesters, two components you may not find at other schools. Get experience – build knowledge.

You could be an Ambassador!

The CFE champions Education Ambassadors who are actively recruiting today’s middle and high school students to be tomorrow’s teachers. If you are a current student taking at least 12 credit hours with a 2.5 GPA, you could be eligible to apply to become an Ambassador. Find out more. 

Ambassadors will:

  • Engage in discussions on critical issues affecting the quality of education by attending conferences
  • Build connections and find mentors in the community
  • Exchange thoughts on the rewards and challenges of teaching
  • Receive a $900 scholarship per semester
