Every profession starts with the teaching profession – teach.
The Center for Future Educators champions six Education Ambassadors who are recruiting today’s high school and middle school students to be tomorrow’s teachers. The Center is exclusively designed to help you successfully transfer to a partner institution and earn a bachelor’s degree in education.
JCCC is dedicated to “home-growing” future teachers by partnering with metro school districts. The Center is especially recruiting aspiring teachers from diverse backgrounds and those interested in subjects with high shortages of educators.
The Center for Future Educators will put you ahead of the curve:
- Attend conferences with your peers — delve into critical issues affecting the quality of education
- Bypass traditional academic counseling — specialized onsite counselors make your transfer to a 4-year school seamless
- Network with community partners — make connections and find mentors
- Be placed in a major metro school district — gain valuable experience
- Find teaching aids in an exclusive library —research trends and studies that are carving methods for diverse learners
- Talk with your peers — discuss rewards and challenges
- Learn how to learn and ask effective questions — maintain a growth mindset
The Center also conducts research and studies trends pertinent to teacher retention and recruitment. JCCC is dedicated to reimagining educational opportunities that are vital to growing the teaching profession in Kansas and America.
Take on leadership and build your résumé. Apply to become an Education Ambassador. If chosen, you will receive a $900 scholarship per semester.
