Teachers shape tomorrow. You can make a difference!
JCCC is dedicated to “growing” future educators by partnering with local school districts. The Center for Future Educators (CFE) is especially recruiting aspiring educators from diverse backgrounds and teachers who are interested in subjects with high shortages. JCCC is reimagining educational opportunities that are vital to enhancing the teaching profession across Kansas and the United States.
The CFE is specifically designed to help JCCC students successfully transfer to a partner institution and earn a bachelor’s degree in education. By joining the CFE community, you’ll position yourself ahead of the curve.
Through our PATHWAYS fast track program, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Consult with dedicated on-site counselors
- Make your transition to a 4-year school seamless
The CFE champions Education Ambassadors who are actively recruiting today’s middle and high school students to be tomorrow’s teachers. If you are a current student taking at least 12 credit hours with a 2.5 GPA, you could be eligible to apply to become an Ambassador. Find out more.
Ambassadors will:
- Engage in discussions on critical issues affecting the quality of education by attending conferences
- Build connections and find mentors in the community
- Exchange thoughts on the rewards and challenges of teaching
- Receive a $900 scholarship per semester
“Good teachers are vital to a thriving economy. Because if you think about it, every profession — no matter the subject matter or skill level — starts with inspiring teachers.” — Dr. Craig Butler, Associate Professor, Center for Future Educators
