The Workforce Development and Continuing Education (WDCE) branch at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is excited to announce the selection of Molly Salisbury as the new Director of Business Solutions. Salisbury assumed the position on November 7, 2024. In her new role, she leads the Business Solutions arm of WDCE and oversees the development of corporate training programs.

The Business Solutions team works with a wide variety of businesses and organizations in the Kansas City Metro to provide customized workforce training in hundreds of subject areas. WDCE specialists work with area employers to identify and define their needs and goals, build training programs for their employees, and execute the training. Training can be held on-site at the business/organization, at JCCC’s main campus in Overland Park, or in a hybrid format.

Salisbury brings notable experience to the role. She started at JCCC in 2020 as a Program Coordinator for Continuing Education programs. In 2022, Salisbury moved to the Business Solutions division as the Business Solutions Coordinator and was promoted to Business Solutions Program Director in 2023. Salisbury is a Learning Resources Network (LERN) Certified Program Planner. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University. Outside of JCCC, Salisbury is Chair of the Young Professionals Steering Committee for the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce.

“According to a LinkedIn Workplace Learning Report, 94% of employees say they would stay at their current workplace if the organization invested in their career,” said Salisbury. “Our team of experts will help employers develop training customized to your business needs in organizations of all sizes. I am looking forward to working with our clients and partners to continue to empower individuals with the skills they need to thrive in today’s economy. Together, we can continue to make pathways for sustainable growth and economic success in the Kansas City region and beyond.”
