September 4, 2024
JCCC is currently under the leadership of Interim President Dr. Judy Korb, Ph.D., who was appointed to the position on January 4, 2024. JCCC’s previous president, Dr. Andy Bowne, resigned on January 2, 2024.
From September 16–18, 2024, Johnson County Community College (JCCC) will hold a series of listening sessions for community members, students, and employees to provide input that will assist in the nationwide search process for the College’s next president.
The JCCC Board of Trustees unanimously selected Academic Search Inc. to lead efforts to find a new President. The firm has conducted more than 2,400 successful searches for college presidents, chancellors, provosts, vice presidents, and deans in a variety of disciplines.
Consultants from Academic Search Inc. will lead the listening sessions, which will be held on JCCC’s main campus, 12345 College Boulevard in Overland Park, Kansas.
During the sessions, JCCC stakeholders and community partners will have the opportunity to share thoughts about the characteristics, accomplishments, and experiences the ideal Presidential candidates should bring to the position. In addition, JCCC will seek feedback from participants regarding future opportunities and challenges for the College and its new President. The input provided will help JCCC and Academic Search develop recruitment messaging and a “Search Profile” for the position.

We sincerely hope everyone interested in participating will attend one of the scheduled sessions or complete the online survey.”
