Korb has served the College in various capacities for more than 30 years

In a special meeting of the Johnson County Community College Board of Trustees held January 3, 2024, the Board appointed Dr. Judy Korb, PhD, as Interim President, effective January 4, 2024.

Korb has a deep history with the College and has served the institution in various roles for the past 34 years. She recently served as Interim Executive Vice President, Student Success and Engagement. Prior to that appointment, she served as Executive Vice President, Instruction and Operations, from 2013 to 2017. She left her full-time role at JCCC in 2017 to start a consulting business and return to teaching. Since that time, she has stayed connected to JCCC as an adjunct professor in the Business division.

“Dr. Korb will bring a breadth of knowledge informed by insights from her vast experience in higher education, specifically the Community College sector across the nation. She will provide JCCC with excellent leadership that will advance the College while we prepare to launch a formal search for our seventh President,” said Lee Cross, JCCC Board Chair.

The Board will release details regarding its search for JCCC’s seventh president in coming months.
