- JCCC offers GED training at LPKC in Edgerton

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College will offer a GED® Exam Prep course that will begin in June at the new Learning & Career Center (LCC) at Logistics Park Kansas City (LPKC) located in Edgerton, Kansas.
The deadline to enroll is 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31. The course will kick off with orientation sessions on Monday, June 6, and Wednesday, June 8. To register and pay the $50 fee, please call JCCC’s Olathe Health Education Center at 913-469-7621.
The course is being offered at the request of Jet.com, a company located at LPKC. Some of its employees will be taking advantage of the training; it also is available for the public.
Students will meet for class from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays through July 25. In addition, students will be expected to log into the Plato courseware account between classes for an additional six to eight hours each week.
The Learning & Career Center is located near the BNSF intermodal facility in Southwest Johnson County. Its address is 30750 W. 193rd St. in Edgerton. The center is a collaborative partnership between private industry, educational institutions, community and workforce partners focused on developing a highly trained workforce for the logistics and supply chain industry in and around LPKC.
