Teaching style
Communicative, some lectures (grammar), some discussions, target language (more and more used as level goes up), paired and group activities
Homework, participation and attendance
Daily homework, attendance required, active participation expected; occasional extra-credit; five late assignments accepted; make-ups for exams or quizzes only allowed with valid excuse.
Tests and quizzes
One test, quiz and journal entry per chapter, one oral interview, one final exam, project/presentation (higher levels).
Conversation class: one midterm, final exam, weekly small composition and oral presentation
