Chinese
Teaching style
Classes are designed to be learner-centered, incorporating communicative language teaching and task-based activities. Real-world tasks, such as writing emails or preparing for travel, are frequently used to connect language learning with practical application. Grammar explanations are provided as needed, and cultural insights are woven into the curriculum to deepen students’ understanding of the language
Homework, Participation and Attendance
The lowest test, quiz, homework, composition, and workbook assignments are dropped.
Background and other interests
I was born and raised in Jingzhou, China, and I hold an M.A. in Linguistics as well as a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas. In my free time, I enjoy practicing Chinese dance.
