Instructors have provided the following information to generally describe what to expect in their classes.


Biology

Class format

Face-to-face sections. Classes will be taught using PowerPoint presentations and interactive discussions, students are encouraged to ask questions and participate in the discussions. Lab work will include experiments, microscope work, and mostly working with the models. Testing will be on campus, and will include a written quiz as well as a lab portion. Homework assignments will be through the online resource Connect, and lab work will come from the lab book.

Resource use

Books will be used heavily during class.

Assessment

Combination of homework, lab assignments, and quizzes (written and lab).

Homework policy

No late homework will be accepted.

Attendance policy

Students are expected to be in class each time the class meets. This class has heavy content, and students need to be in class to get the information.
