Instructors have provided the following information to generally describe what to expect in their classes.
Biology
Class format
Face-to-face sections
Anatomy & Physiology is a traditional lecture with PowerPoint presentations. The lab involves identifying structures on anatomical models and reinforces the material taught in lecture.
Online sections
Online human physiology students are required to read through assigned chapters in the textbook and complete study guide material.
Resource use
Both Anatomy & Physiology and Online Human Physiology rely on extensive use of the course textbook.
Online Human Physiology students will need access to the Mastering A&P website for completion of lab assignments.
Science Resource Center (SRC) located in CLB 112A for anatomical model resources and tutoring.
Open Anatomy Lab located in CLB 311 for anatomical models.
Assessment
Face-to-face sections
Anatomy & Physiology students are given chapter quizzes throughout the semester.
Exams are divided into two parts: Lecture exam and Lab practical. Lecture exams consist of multiple choice, matching, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank questions.
The lab practical involves identifying structures on anatomical models and are fill-in-the-blank questions.
Online sections
Human Physiology students are given chapter quizzes throughout the semester that must be taken online.
Exams must be taken at with JCCC Testing Services.
Homework policy

Attendance policy
Students are strongly encouraged to participate in regular attendance. Missed quizzes or exams cannot be made up if those days are not attended.
