OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is proud to host the 14th Annual Kansas City Healthcare Simulation Conference on Friday, Sep. 16.
Sessions at this online and in-person transformative conference explore the challenges of unconscious bias in patient care. Keynote speaker Jessica Nordell, New York Times’ best-selling author of “The End of Bias: A Beginning” will encourage you to be part of the change that overcomes—or even stops—bias altogether.
Ideal for healthcare educators, practitioners and simulation staff, this conference features simulation experts from across the country conducting innovative sessions in small groups for meaningful interaction. CEUs and CMEs are included in the cost.
JCCC has been leading the way in simulation teaching. The state-of-the-art Zamierowski Family Center for Healthcare Simulation allows students to practice safe care in a facility that closely mimics a hospital setting. Accredited by the Society of Simulation in Healthcare, JCCC’s simulation center is also one of 10 premier sites in the nation to participate in a research study with the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. Top-notch efforts in research, teaching excellence and collaboration have garnered awards for faculty and staff.
