Federal government funding has been allocated to assist students with covering expenses related to the disruption of campus operations and services available due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you purchased additional tech equipment or supplies to continue spring semester classes online or had unexpected expenses, grants from the COVID-19 Relief Fund may put money back in your wallet. Don’t wait – this limited funding is first come, first served.

To qualify, you must be currently enrolled in 6 or more hours and degree and/or certificate seeking at JCCC. No residency or citizenship requirements.

Grants may not cover all costs requested or actually incurred. It’s beneficial to document actual amounts paid and provide as many details as possible in the explanation. Qualifying expenses include:

  • Books and supplies
  • Childcare needed due to HCDC closure
  • Food insecurity related to MealSHARE and food pantry inaccessibility
  • Loss of Financial Aid due to class cancellation
  • Technology costs such as a computer, equipment, software, internet service
  • Transportation costs to return to state/country of residence
  • Additional class costs such as testing, tutoring
  • Other reasons may be considered
