A table of celebrants enjoy the 2019 Some Enchanted Evening

An evening of recognition, celebration and inspiration!

Held each fall since 1987, the Johnson County Community College Foundation gala has raised more than $11 million in support of JCCC’s student scholarship programs.

The JCCC Foundation awards more than $1.3 million in scholarship support, giving more than 1,500 students the financial boosts they need to achieve their dreams and goals.

The evening features:

  • An elegant gourmet dinner paired with fine wines
  • Inspirational stories from students
  • Live music and dancing
  • Presentation of the 2020 Johnson Countian of the Year award
Simon Scholl, recipient of the Mainstreet Credit Union Scholarship
I’m really grateful to everyone who donates money so students like me can get our education, and the school can continue to provide all the great programs it offers.
Ariana Alejandre, JCCC student and daughter of fellow student Cynthia Piedra-Malagon
Once I complete my prerequisites, I plan to pursue a nursing degree and ultimately join the Traveling Nurse Association to help communities in need around our country.
Cynthia Piedra-Malagon, recipient of the Zamierowski Family Scholarship
As a single parent, it was still unclear how I could possibly handle that intensive, full-time coursework along with responsibilities for my children and my jobs. That is when a JCCC scholarship letter arrived that changed my life.
Todd Sitcler, recipient of the Mindy Kampen Scholarship
… I turned to JCCC for an opportunity to make life better for me and my family. Now, with my Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) certificate and a job with a regional trucking company that pays more than I was bringing in with my part-time jobs, I am back to providing for my family how I want.
