The JCCC Foundation welcomes your gifts and contributions. We can allocate your gifts across a variety of options and interests, from establishing or supporting a scholarship for JCCC students to personal endowments, memorial gifts and more.
How can you help JCCC during the COVID-19 pandemic?
During these uncertain times, the JCCC Foundation remains focused on ensuring JCCC students have access to all of the resources they need to be successful.
We encourage you to learn as much as you can about how organizations are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. One of our partners, United Community Services of Johnson County, has compiled a comprehensive listing of resources available.
Support JCCC students
The JCCC Foundation is continuing our important work of helping ensure JCCC students have access to critical resources they may need both now and in the future. If you would like to make a financial contribution to help meet student needs during this challenging time, we encourage you to consider supporting these existing JCCC student-focused funds:
- General Student Scholarships – No other resources may be more important in the coming months and years than scholarships for current and future JCCC students. An unrestricted gift to our general student scholarships will help us meet this unprecedented need now and in the months ahead.
- Student Basic Needs Center - The mission of the Student Basic Needs Center is to provide information and resources to combat the hardships that adversely affect the ability of JCCC students to complete their academic, professional, and personal development objectives.
- Area of Greatest Need – As the current situation continues to evolve, opportunities for the JCCC Foundation to assist our students arise each day. Your unrestricted gift to the areas of greatest need provide the Foundation the flexibility to direct your gift to the most pressing needs of our students and the College.
Support our community
Many organizations and individuals in our community are facing significant hardship right now and will face additional challenges moving forward. It is important that we come together as a community in a united effort to help meet the needs of all those who are struggling.
A coalition of charitable, business and government partners has joined together to create the Kansas City Regional COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund to address the needs of the Kansas City region's most vulnerable communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We encourage you to learn more about this effort.
Scholarships
You may make a donation to an existing scholarship or establish a new scholarship. The Foundation will work with you to ensure your gift benefits our students. If you're a student seeking a scholarship, apply for a scholarship on the College website. Refer to Scholarships.
- Student Veterans Scholarship - Veterans need your support to assist with their education.

Cavalier MealSHARE Program
JCCC wants our students to succeed at all levels — and when we learned that there were students on campus distracted by hunger and food insecurity, we had to respond.
So we established Cavalier MealSHARE, a discreet meal assistance program that provides qualified students with Dining Dollars good at all on-campus food venues, guaranteeing that these students can get a healthy, high-quality meal when they're on campus. Refer to the MealSHARE Program.
Student Basic Needs
Help our Cavaliers to succeed at JCCC and in life by donating to students in need.
Donate to the Amazon Wish List, drop off food items, and/or donate to the student assistance fund. Your contributions ensure JCCC students have access to critical resources they may need both now and in the future.
Personal Endowments
You may establish a named endowment in honor of your family or place of business. Regular endowments start with a first gift of $10,000. As a part of the personalized endowment process, you may direct the annual proceeds to a need of the College that best fits your interest.
Memorial Gifts
Relatives and friends often remember loved ones with contributions to memorial funds. This is particularly appropriate as a way to remember people who have been associated with the College.
Event Sponsorships
All of the Foundation's special events and campaigns offer individual and corporate sponsorship opportunities. Each sponsorship offers a variety of ways that underwriters and donors can be recognized.
Planned Giving
Estate gifts are an excellent opportunity for you to remember the College in your will. There are a variety of estate-planning opportunities that range from bequests to life insurance gifts. Refer to Planned Giving.
Crowdfunded Campaigns
Through online crowdfunding, you can contribute to the exciting work happening at Johnson County Community College! Find a project that inspires you, make your gift and share the page with your friends.

Cohen Series
The Cohen Community Series was inaugurated in 2008 through a gift from Jon Stewart, former vice chairman of the Johnson County Community College Board of Trustees, JCCC alumnus and former president of Metcalf Bank, in honor of the late Barton P. Cohen, president of Metcalf Bancshares, vice chairman and general counsel of Metcalf Bank and an attorney with Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin LLP. Proceeds from these special performances benefit student scholarships and programs.
Previous Cohen Community Series presenters have included Phil Vassar, Josh Turner, Lonestar, Sawyer Brown, Tracy Lawrence, Diamond Rio, George Will, Marcus Buckingham and Vince Gill.
Lace Up for Learning
An annual 5K walk/run held on a course that leads participants around JCCC’s nationally recognized campus. Proceeds benefit JCCC student scholarships.
Polsky Practical Personal Enrichment Series
Established at JCCC in 1997, the Polsky Series is underwritten by the Norman and Elaine Polsky Family Supporting Foundation in partnership with the JCCC Foundation. Through free events for JCCC students and the entire community, the series seeks to educate and empower the public in areas of education, health, wellness, and financial stability.
Some Enchanted Evening
The JCCC Foundation signature event, this annual black-tie gala raises vital funds for student scholarships, as well as honors community leaders through the awarding of the Johnson Countian of the Year. Since its inaugural year, Some Enchanted Evening has raised more than $11 million in support of student scholarships, including a record of more than $1 million in 2019 alone.
