About the Film
As the first Native American woman to argue a case before the U.S. Supreme Court, Lyda Conley took a courageous stand for Indigenous rights and heritage. Her physical and legal fight to defend the Wyandot Nation’s ancestral burial ground in Kansas City, Kansas, became powerful proof that one woman’s determination and resilience can change history and preserve it for generations to come.
