Society has ushered in many advancements. From the Industrial Revolution of centuries gone by to the Computer and Internet Revolutions of today, we’ve seen an astonishing stream of transformations. This STEM to STEAM presentation imparts how global warming puts us on the precipice of a ReGeneration Revolution that could help define our world for decades to come.

The performance on Thursday, Sep. 7 at 10 a.m. has been canceled.

From freestyle and original raps to Mongolian throat singing and beatboxing, this one-of-a-kind multimedia performance combines a breadth of musicality with a fast-paced flow of impactful imagery and hard-hitting scientific facts and stats. The breadth of communication techniques runs the gamut in much the same way the climate crisis spans the globe.

At the core of FineRhyme’s show is Raptivism – music that inspires action while taking the ecological and equity impacts of climate change and making them emotionally accessible through hip-hop.

By speaking to students through this culturally relevant medium and offering real-life solutions, FineRhyme reinforces the idea that they could be the ReGeneration.

Since 2009, FineRhyme has educated more than 120,000 K-12 students about our shared environmental challenges and what we can do to address them. Building off science content around energy, climate and waste, his assemblies emphasize action and responsibility. His “raptivism” – high-energy original rap music used to educate and inspire environmental action – sets his performances apart.
