Friendship is at the heart of this joyful new collaboration between Mexican songstress, Sonia De Los Santos, and Americana folk duo, The Okee Dokee Brothers.

All new for 2021 – The MTC Kids Jam concert series with free events is specially designed with families in mind! Kick off the series with this bilingual program that includes old and new songs that span the musical traditions of North America.

Since 2007, Sonia De Los Santos has been touring the world, singing in English and Spanish, playing the guitar and jarana, and lighting up the stage. She released her first solo family music album, “Mi Viaje: De Nuevo León to the New York Island,” in 2015. The album, a Parent’s Choice Foundation Gold Award winner, is a collection of songs that reflect her experience growing up in Mexico and moving to the U.S.

De Los Santos was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2019 with her second family music album, “¡Alegría!,” and has been hailed by Billboard as “one of the Latin Children’s music artists you should know.” She has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, The Getty Museum, Smithsonian Folklife Festival and many other venues. In 2020, she launched “En Casa con Sonia,” an online musical series, and in 2021, she debuted “¿Qué Pasa, Sonia?,” a radio segment on Sirius XM’s Kid’s Place Live.

The Grammy Award-winning Okee Dokee Brothers have a passion for the outdoors that’s at the heart of their Americana folk music. Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing perform relatable music that inspires families to get outside, get creative and gain respect for the natural world, their communities and themselves. The five-time Parents’ Choice Award winners have garnered praise from NPR’s All Things Considered and USA Today, and have been called “two of family music’s best songwriters.”
