All Upcoming Arts Ed Events

Midwest Trust Center Arts Education presents a variety of programs featuring local, national, and international professional touring companies and artists, featuring performances, workshops, and teacher professional development. We provide educational opportunities to impact teaching practices, connect young people and educators with visiting artists, and grow future audiences.

Our goals are to:

  • Promote creativity as a practical, transferable, and empowering skill
  • Provide equitable access to high quality arts experiences
  • Support educators to reach all learners
  • Cultivate wonder

Midwest Trust Center Arts Education brings the performing arts to students, families and teachers in a variety of ways.

  • Field trip performances during the school day performed by professional companies and tied to curriculum.
  • Evening and weekend performances for the whole family to enjoy together.
  • In-school performances, classroom workshops, and longer-term classroom residencies with local artists.
  • Community engagement programming through outreach and masterclasses with visiting artists at schools, community centers, libraries, and more.
  • Professional development for teachers through the Kennedy Center Partners in Education Program.
  • Kids Jam, our free, high quality musical programming that engages parents and young children across a variety of genres.

We look forward to introducing your students and your family to the transformational power of the arts!
