Starting Spring 2026, all first-time college students will be required to meet with a counselor before registering for classes. Why? Because we want to set you up for success from Day One. Mon-Wed 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Thu 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Fri 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
What to do if you are a student
- Come to the 2nd floor of the Student Center and state you need crisis services
OR - Call ext. 3560 or 913-469-3809
Counselors will work with you to find the appropriate mental health support and provide referrals as needed.
What to do if you are a faculty/staff member
- Call Counseling at ext. 3560 or 3809 and let them know you are bringing a student in crisis if possible
AND/OR - Bring student directly to the Counseling Center, 2nd floor Student Center
- Let administrative assistant know student is in crisis
