Foreign Language Testing

JCCC offers the following foreign languages that can be assessed by the Avant testing system: French, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Spanish.

If you would like to take the Avant assessment to try and test into a higher foreign language course, you must email aac@jccc.edu to make an appointment with the Language Resource Center, LIB 106.

Proctored testing is available by appointment only. Students may also request remote proctoring, which will have a set fee, by contacting the Foreign Language Department at 913-469-8500, ext. 3659.

To take the test, you will need a photo ID, your stumail account (written down) and your student ID number.

Special accommodations: Students who have been approved for special disability accommodations need to email the ADA testing coordinator at bbuchan6@jccc.edu to schedule their testing appointments.
