Looking Back at 1969 in Fashion, Art and Food

If you love fashion, art, food and 1969, you’ll love this stylish costume event!

Join JCCC’s Fashion Merchandising & Design and Hospitality & Culinary programs on a tour through the late 1960s and early 1970s. Come dressed in the spirit of the era and enjoy a multi-course dinner that takes you on a journey through the culinary trends with dishes inspired by this iconic era.

Experience what influenced the fashion and art of the times. Sample hors d'oeuvres and wine while perusing the gallery of curated fashions from The Fashion Collection at JCCC.

Guests will enjoy popular restaurant dishes from the era prepared by JCCC Culinary Chef Edward Adel and Culinary students. Walk through the fashion zeitgeist – from hippies to socialites – with Dr. Laurel Wilson, Professor Emerita for the Department of Textiles and Apparel Management at the University of Missouri. Let Dr. Allison Smith, JCCC Art History Chair and Professor, engage you in the art that mirrored the movement of the times.

Proceeds support JCCC’s Fashion Merchandising & Design and Hospitality & Culinary programs through the JCCC Foundation.
