Take a Campus Tour, See for Yourself
Get to know campus with a “Find Your Class” tour.
A Cav Leader—our student admissions ambassadors—will help you find each classroom, plus prime spots for studying, snacking and collaborating. It’s a great way to make new friends and by the end of this experience, you’ll feel right at home.

Counselors Will Get You Started
Once you’ve enrolled, your next step is to meet with a counselor. JCCC counselors serve two roles—academic and personal counseling. Academic counselors are your go-to resource. They help you enroll in classes, choose or change your major, manage time and seamlessly transfer credits.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or need someone to talk to, personal counselors offer a compassionate ear in a safe and confidential environment. Counselors advocate for you and will make referrals to appropriate agencies when needed.
Free Tutoring Helps You Stay on Track
JCCC’s Academic Resource Center has tutoring in every major subject—math, science, writing and language—online or in-person.
You can also get academic assistance with test prep, college reading and study skills.
Get Involved at JCCC
Develop connections outside the classroom. Meet fellow students at Cav Kickoff in August or Cav Craze in May. Find your fit in one of our clubs and organizations—we have nearly 100!

Find Accommodations with Access Services
If you need classroom accommodations and services, visit with an Access Services Advisor. You could be eligible for testing accommodations, note-taking assistance, sign language interpreting services, audiobooks, assistive technology or other specific services. Complete an application for accommodation through MyAccess and meet with an advisor to develop your specialized plan.
Get Assistance When Times Are Tough
If you are experiencing food or housing insecurity or other hardships, you are always welcome at JCCC’s Student Basic Needs Center. The center’s resources include:
- Food, personal care items and school supplies at the Cav Cupboard pantry
- Information and application assistance for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
