Access hundreds of scholarships with a single, simple application!

Who doesn’t love FREE money? Most college students would agree — scholarships are a great way to help finance your education. JCCC awards more than $1 million in scholarships each year.

Some scholarships are merit-based. Others are department-specific. Some go to those with athletic ability or a special talent or interest, and others are based on financial need. The best part is that ALL scholarships are a gift and don’t ever need to be repaid!

How Do I Find Scholarships?

Applying for 2021-2022 scholarships couldn’t be easier! It takes about 20 minutes to complete JCCC’s single scholarship application.

You could be eligible for hundreds of JCCC scholarships. For full consideration, complete an application by the priority scholarship deadline — April 1, 2021 — for the upcoming academic year (2021-2022), beginning in August.

To be considered you must:

  • Have a current JCCC application for admission on file.
  • Be degree- or certificate-seeking.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    • The FAFSA is not required but encouraged to be completed before the priority deadline of March 15, 2021, to be considered for need-based and many department scholarships. Learn more about completing your FAFSA.
  • Incoming high school students — submit your official 7th semester high school, home-school OR official GED® transcript before the priority deadline.
  • Incoming transfer students — submit your official, final high school transcript OR official college transcripts before the priority deadline.

CavGuarantee is JCCC’s $500 scholarship for Johnson County high school and home-schooled students. To be eligible, you must reside in Johnson County and graduate with a 3.25 unweighted grade point average (GPA).

High school students, home-schooled students and GED® graduates who live in Johnson County with a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher will be considered for the JCCC President's Scholarship. One student from each Johnson County high school, one home-schooled student and one GED® student will be selected. Recipients receive 12 credit hours and $300 for textbooks each semester.

JCCC Department Scholarships are for those majoring in specific fields — everything from history to hospitality (and so much more). JCCC Foundation Scholarships are tailored to a range of recipients and have a variety of eligibility requirements. Some may request a short essay or recommendation letter, but the extra effort could be worth it!
