Several upgrades and improvements have been made to the JCCC Student Center, making it a one-stop shop for students and visitors.

In 2016, the Johnson County Community College Board of Trustees approved a facilities master plan that included renovations to several buildings across campus. Some of the most anticipated and exciting renovations were planned for the Student Center, transforming the first floor into a welcoming campus entrance for students and visitors.

The first floor of the Student Center is now open and thriving. Here’s what you'll find:

Welcome Desk

In order to better assist new students and visitors, the Welcome Center has relocated from the Carlsen Center to the renovated Student Center. The official Welcome Desk is staffed by Student Admissions Ambassadors or Cav Leaders, who will greet and assist all visitors once the exterior construction is complete. This will be the first stop to ask questions, get campus directions or receive next steps for the admissions and enrollment process. The Welcome Desk also serves as the check-in point for campus tours and group visits.

Student Engagement Desk

The new Student Engagement Desk assists with Student Life activities. Come here to get a JCCC ID, ask questions about life on campus or discover ways to get involved. Don’t forget to stop by for discounted event tickets, bus passes and other JCCC student perks!

Bookstore

Back and better than ever, the Bookstore is the place to purchase all things JCCC! Shop for textbooks, gifts, school and art supplies, and more. The Bookstore also sells specialty laptops and can assist with technical add-ons and other computer necessities.

Market

Combining the intimacy of a coffee shop with the ease of a convenience store, the new JCCC Market offers something for everyone: house-made smoothies, warm donuts and coffee for breakfast, and garden salads and toasted sandwiches for lunch. Starting at 10:30 a.m., the Market also offers a pop-up Chef Station featuring hot food specialties.

Bursar’s Office

The Bursar’s Office isn’t just for paying tuition and fees. This office is also responsible for loading funds onto ID cards, third-party billing, parent and authorized user accounts, and student refund processing. Formerly tucked away on the first floor of the General Education Building (GEB), the Bursar's Office is now more accessible to people taking care of student accounts.

U.S. Bank

The JCCC U.S. Bank branch offers everything from savings and checking accounts to loans and credit cards, and more. There's even an ATM on site! Whatever your banking goal, the U.S. Bank team can help make it possible, right here on campus.

Conference Rooms and Plenty of Seating

The new space also features meeting rooms for Success Advocates, recruitment teams, and clubs and organizations. The larger conference room is reserved for student orientations, while the smaller room is designated for club meetings, focus groups and athletic team gatherings.

Open areas of the Student Center have tables, chairs and even couches — a comfortable place to gather with friends or to focus on homework.
