Discover how to connect your passion with purpose!

Latinidad brings high schoolers, college students and professionals together to learn, exchange ideas and celebrate Hispanic heritage. Enjoy a delicious meal catered by Taco Naco KC. Make connections and get inspired by philanthropist and photojournalist Saul Flores.

Flores is a masterful storyteller, social innovator and a powerful voice for change. He has shared his message at 250+ colleges nationwide and his work has been showcased on MSNBC, National Public Radio and TEDx. Through his presentations, he helps people realize their human potential, even in times of adversity.

In 2010, Flores walked 5,328 miles through 10 countries and nine border crossings to show how dangerous immigrants’ journeys into the U.S. can be. In doing so, he raised money for an elementary school in Atencingo, Mexico. Flores will relive his journey to share the struggles, hardships, joy and hope that immigrants experience. He’ll discuss the value of learning about other cultures and share ways to connect your passion with purpose.

Tickets are free for students (limited quantity); $30 for professionals and community members.
