Transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) individuals face many challenges, including a lack of understanding and support. Join this free event in person or on Zoom to learn from Professor Ash Allee how you can support the TGNC community. Help make a difference.

Speaker bio
Ash R. Allee (he/him/his) is a licensed social worker, professor, queer activist and consultant in Kansas City. Allee works with businesses, social service agencies and schools to provide training and assessment on topics related to gender and sexuality.
He began his social work career as an advocate for children and families. Following this, Allee spent several years as an HIV case manager, helping individuals living with HIV access medical services and financial assistance for healthcare costs. Following this, he supervised several housing programs for youth navigating homelessness. For the past 15 years, Allee has organized and facilitated numerous community events focused on raising awareness of the LGBTQ+ community. He currently splits his time between teaching and consulting.
