Rebekah Taussig — writer, teacher, advocate, human lady person

Speaking from experience, Rebekah Taussig will reflect on what it means to live in a body that “doesn’t fit.” She explores the truth in poignant and lyrical ways that teach how disability affects all of us. She is casting the challenge to society to be patient and vigilant, practical and imaginative, kind and relentless as we write an entirely different story.

Taussig’s book “Sitting Pretty: The View from My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body” is the JCCC Common Read for 2022-23.
