Discover the history that shapes our reality

If objects could speak, what would they say? Uncover the stories behind the artifacts in the Johnson County Museum and the fascinating history they share.

JCCC faculty bring the past to life in Once Upon an Artifact, a collaboration between the College and the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center. In a series of 20-minute presentations, unearth the enchanting narratives that museum relics hold. A variety of disciplinary lenses will be present, with historical connection at the forefront.

Complete your experience with music, art and self-guided tours of the museum, including the special exhibit “REDLINED: Cities, Suburbs, and Segregation” and “Color Explosion” by April Marie Mai.

Free and open to the public. Space is limited.
