Hear Kansas City’s Poet Laureate share stories and recite his award-winning poetry.

JCCC proudly welcomes Glenn North — a poet, author, activist, educator and arts executive. His powerful poetry focuses on the triumphs and tragedies of the African American experience and issues of social justice. Join us to learn about North's life story — his early love of poetry, his creative process and his successful career. He will discuss his belief in the transformative power of poetry and his mission to inspire young poets. North will share stories, answer questions, recite his award-winning poetry and provide truth, hope and inspiration.
