A look back in history of the highlights of our previous festivals.

The Greater Kansas City Japan Festival (GKCJF) is presented by the Kansas City chapter of the Heart of America – Japan America Society and is ran entirely by volunteers in association with employees of Johnson County Community College.

Each year, the festival introduces and educates 5,000+ visitors each year on the culture of Japan.

Join us in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Japan Festival!

The Greater Kansas City Japan Festival couldn’t take place without volunteers! They offer over 200 volunteer opportunities to help staff this amazing festival. Every volunteer is also included in a number of benefits.
