I come to work with a big smile on my face because I get to do my favorite thing—empowering students to achieve their dreams. As a success advocate I have the privilege to work in an environment that inspires growth and cultivates transformation. I am excited to share this amazing community and the wealth of valuable resources JCCC offers with our students. It is very rewarding for me to spend time connecting with students and supporting them to overcome obstacles.

I truly believe that a smile and a kind word spoken can absolutely change someone’s day for the better! We all need support and positive guidance to help us on our path, especially our educational path, and that is why being a Success Advocate is such an important role here at JCCC. Building a collaborative relationship with students, I have the opportunity to share the wonderful resources here and work creatively with students to overcome obstacles that may hinder the goals they have set for themselves. This two-way relationship can be both empowering and inspiring, and the reason I love to come to work every day!

Your time in college provides a wonderful opportunity to learn more about yourself, your interests, and the world. I love getting to help JCCC students discover their own personal pathways to success, so they can look back on their experience at JCCC as a time of learning, growth, and fun. It is exciting to be a small part of students' journeys and to connect them with the various resources available at JCCC. With caring and knowledgeable faculty and staff, JCCC is a great place to be!

Working with students and encouraging them to accomplish their goals, even the smallest goals, is why I love being a Success Advocate. I take my work seriously, but not myself. From my experience being a student at JCCC, I understand the shoes our students are in. I enjoy getting to know students on an individual basis and connecting them to resources which will make the most of their time at JCCC.
