JCCC held a series of listening sessions Oct. 9, 10, and 11, 2019, as part of our Presidential Search process.

Each session was facilitated by consultants from AGB Search. These sessions helped develop a Search Profile and advertisements that will be integral to the College’s recruitment efforts to fill this important role.

During the sessions, participants had the opportunity to share thoughts about desired talents, accomplishments and experiences that candidates should possess. The sessions also queried future opportunities and challenges for the College and the new President.

The College and AGB Search expect to attract a strong pool of candidates, and involvement in this process helped to ensure that result.

Follow Up

The Presidential Search Committee held a follow-up listening session from 3-4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, in GEB 233. This session invited the Johnson County Community College community to share feedback on the preliminary drafts of the Search Timeline, Communication and Advertising Plan, and the Presidential Profile documents.

Feedback gathered in this session was combined with feedback collected in the community survey to craft a final draft of each of these documents. The final drafts were sent to the Board of Trustees for review and approval at its Oct. 31, 2019, meeting.
