Students must be aware of the following guidelines when using services provided by Testing Services.

To take the test, you must present a current official photo identification card such as a JCCC photo ID, driver’s license, military ID, passport or Kansas State ID.

Approved testing accommodations can be selected through the scheduling links. If you have not been approved for testing accommodations but need them for testing, contact Access Services. If you need additional assistance scheduling a test with approved accommodations, email accesstesting@jccc.edu or call 913-469-4439.

These are the items allowed during a testing session:

  • A writing utensil (if you wish to use your own)
  • Car keys (must be small enough to fit into pocket)

You are not permitted to use books, notes, calculators, etc. without authorization. Any testing materials provided by Testing Services will be collected upon completion of the test.

A limited number of lockers are available to store personal items.

Prohibited Items include, but are not limited to:

  • Cell phones
  • Watches
  • All electronic devices
  • Flash drives
  • Food or drink
  • Hats
  • Backpacks, purses and cases
  • Sunglasses
  • Pencil bags/boxes
  • Personal scratch paper

Testing Center personnel visually monitor students during testing, along with closed circuit cameras. Incidents of noncompliant behavior are reported to the Coordinator of Student Rights and Responsibilities and professor of the course.
