Participating in an internship is an important experience to complement the learning you do in the classroom.
From classroom teachings to workplace experiences
The JCCC internship program partners with faculty and employers to prepare you for
career success. You will apply the knowledge, skills and values you've acquired in class to real-life
workplace experiences.
Discover your career advantage
An internship will help you:
- Increase your marketability
- Learn and strengthen your practical skills
- Identify jobs in your industry
- Develop as a professional
- Introduce yourself to business culture
- Discover yourself and shape your path
What are you waiting for? Start today!
Preparing for an internship takes planning and effort. You should:
- Meet with JCCC’s Internship Coordinator at least two semesters prior to a potential internship
- Complete the internship application and gain approval from Coordinator one semester before your desired internship start date
- Search campus resources for an internship of interest
- Visit the Career Development Center for assistance with a professional resume and cover letter
When your internship is complete, be sure to update your resume and cover letter to reflect your newly gained skills and experience!
