With six full-time faculty, and about three times that many part-time instructors, we offer over 200 sections each year of Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, and Marriage and Family, as well as more specialized courses in social welfare, social work, aging, intercultural applications, sociology of food, and Chinese society.

We provide a good introduction and survey of the discipline while enriching students' understanding of social life through the diverse sociological perspectives of our faculty. Credits transfer readily to four-year programs, where many of our students go on to major in Sociology.
