Our professional truck driver trainers can provide customized workplace solutions to meet your organization’s needs. We can provide one-on-one to large group training. We have helped employees earn their CDL-A or CDL-B in as little as four business days. Training programs may include CDL-A, CDL-B, CDL Refresher, CDL endorsement training and driver skills development. We also have transportation safety training programs that offer a customized approach. Contact us to help you determine the right combination of training courses and methods for your drivers, including classroom and behind-the-wheel training.
The CDL-A Training prepares students for entry-level driving positions within the trucking industry. We can handle one-on-one to large groups of 50+ students who need to earn their CDL-A. We can customize a training solution to meet your needs.
Our 40-hour Class B Straight Truck training program is designed for individuals who have no experience with Class B commercial vehicles. The course is designed to promote professional safe driving techniques and for the successful completion of the CDL Skills Test. Aspects of safe operation of the truck will be addressed both in a classroom setting and in behind-the-wheel training with a 1:1 student-to-teacher ratio.
Our CDL refresher course provides pre-trip, in-cab, backing, behind-the-wheel and over-the-road training. The curriculum can be customized to benefit individual training needs and is designed for commercial drivers who need to sharpen their skills. If you have acquired your CDL Class A license and have not gone to work with a trucking company within 60 days of your graduation date, or if you have been off the road for 12 months or more, you will likely need a 40-hour CDL refresher course.
We offer training on managing lifestyle choices for healthy aging, mental health issues related to dementia, behavior management, medications, person-centered care, stress and care for the caregiver, grief and loss, and other aging-related topics to businesses, churches, hospitals and healthcare facilities. CE credit for nurses, social workers, counselors, registered dietitians, respiratory therapists and nursing home administrators is available.
The driving assessment consists of on-the-road testing with a certified driver's education instructor, with a written report on the results. The driving assessment will determine whether you have the skills and abilities to drive safely; what corrections (if any) are needed; what specific steps you can take to become a better, safer driver; and what on-the-road training may be necessary to improve your skills.
Driver Training (Behind-the-Wheel)
This training gives students more experience behind the wheel, whether it be prior to them enrolling in one of JCCC's driver education courses or to assist parents and students in feeling more comfortable on the road after completion of a driver's ed course.
