M. Basketball - Womack earns second KJCCC Player of the Week honor

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For the second time this season, Johnson County Community College freshman forward Xavier Womack has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference MXTE Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Womack first was honored n week five, and now he add a second honor in week 11.

In last week’s action. Womack averaged a double-double in two Johnson County wins and helped the Cavalier extend their win streak to eight straight and take over sole possession of first place in the conference. Womack also shot 52 percent from the field and 73 percent at the free throw line. He opened the week with a 19 points and 11 rebounds in a 109-77 win at Labette, and capped the with a game-high 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead JCCC to a 79-68 home win over Fort Scott. He also blocked a season-high four shots.

For the season, Womack averages 12.5 points and team-best 7.5 rebounds per game. He also has recorded six double-doubles. His 7.5 per game rebound average leads the conference, along with his overall total of 181 rebounds.
