Freshman forward Xavier Womack led Johnson County with 16 points and nine rebounds. He hit 6-of-9 shots, including a 3-pointer, and was 3-of-4 at the line.

Sophomore Anthony Lupardus, who recently picked up his sixth conference player of the week honor, followed with 13 points, and freshman Meli McKinney came in off the bench to score 11 points and grab five boards. He also blocked four shots

“I am so happy for Meli,” said JCCC head coach Mike Jeffers. “He is a high energy guy that is going all out all the time. It is great to see his persistence be rewarded in this type of game.
