JCCC fashion show on Feb. 28 is ‘Timeless’

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Some people love vintage fashion. Others find cutting-edge style more to their liking.

The Johnson County Community College fashion merchandising and design program will satisfy both tastes at “Timeless,” the department’s annual runway fashion show at noon and 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in the Polsky Theatre of the Carlsen Center on campus.

Fashion students will present their own designs, and models also will show fashions of the 1920s, ‘40s; and ‘60s from the department’s Fashion Collection.

Tickets are $5 for students from any school with student ID, $8 in advance for the general public, or $10 at the door.

Groups are welcome.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the JCCC Box Office at 913-469-4445 or visiting the box office in person at room 105 of the Carlsen Center.

A portion of the proceeds will support fashion merchandising and design scholarships.

For more information, contact Joan McCrillis, professor/chair, fashion merchandising and design, at 913-469-8500 ext. 3357.
