W. Basketball – JCCC moves up to No. 2 in national rankings

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County Community College women’s basketball team has moved up to the No. 2 spot in the final Women’s NJCAA Division II Coaches Poll of the season.  Ranked fourth the previous two weeks, the Lady Cavaliers rise was prompted after defeating No. 2 ranked Highland on the road last week. 

The Lady Cavaliers have appeared in 67 straight NJCAA polls, and have been ranked in the top five 61 times. 

Johnson County (28-1) will host Brown Mackie on Wed., Feb. 26, in the final regular season game of the season. JCCC will receive a bye in the first round of the Region VI D-II Tournament, and will host a semifinal game Tues., March 4.
