W. Basketball – Home win streak reaches 44 straight

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County Community College women’s basketball team, ranked fifth in NJCAA D-II, extended its home court win streak to 44 straight with a 79-30 win over Allen Community College, Saturday afternoon. The victory also kept JCCC perfect on the season at 13-0. 

Sophomore forward Kariel Hutt led JCCC with 16 points, and was one of five players to finish in double figures. Hutt also dominated the glass, pulling down a season high 16 rebounds. This is her third double-double of the season. 

Also in double figures scoring were Juanita Robinson (13), Taylor McDowell (12), Timeka O’Neal (11) and Kelsey Barrett (11). O’Neal also had a game high eight assists and five steals.
