W. Basketball – Gee nabs POW honor

Camille GeeOVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For the fourth straight week, a Johnson County Community College women’s basketball player has been chosen the KJCCC/Verizon Wireless Player of the Week. This week sophomore guard Camille Gee earned the week five honor. The other JCCC winners were: Neika Wheeler in week two, Sameia Kendall in week three, and Juanita Robinson in week four. 

Gee helped the No. 3 Lady Cavaliers remain perfect at 10-0 by scoring a career high 22 points in a 100-49 road victory over William Penn JV, last Sunday.  She was a perfect 8-of-8 from the field, and hit six of her seven free throw attempts. She also pulled down six rebounds.  For the season, Gee is averaging 8.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
