Aaron SchnurbuschOVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College sophomore pitcher/outfielder Aaron Schnurbusch has signed a national letter-of-intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at the University of Pittsburgh. Last season, Pitt had one of its most successful seasons in program history, finishing with a record-breaking 42-17 campaign. The Panthers were also ranked in all five major college polls for the first time. This season, Pitt is transitioning from the Big East to the ACC.

He was also one of Johnson County’s top pitchers, finishing with a 2.11 ERA. He led the staff in innings with 59.2, and tied for the team lead in victories with four. He also mowed down 60 batters, second most on the staff.

Schnurbusch chose Pittsburgh over East Carolina, Wichita State and Florida International.
