M. Tennis-Stevens to join JCCC tennis team next fall

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College head tennis coach Glen Moser has announced that Jeffery Stevens of Blue Valley Southwest High School will be joining the Cavaliers tennis program beginning next fall. Stevens follows in the footsteps of his brother, Tyler, who played at JCCC and is currently attending William Jewell College.

Moser said he is looking forward to Steven’s contribution to the team.

“We feel Jeffery’s continual improvement and potential is extremely high,” Moser said. “His best tennis is yet to come. Jeffery typifies the model student-athlete that we are seeking at Johnson County.”

Stevens is currently playing from the No. 1 position for Blue Valley Southwest head coach Doug Pearson. Stevens is a two-time Kansas 5A state qualifier in doubles, and he reached the state quarterfinals last year.
