M. Soccer – Rivero leads JCCC to sixth straight win

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College forward Jorge Rivero continued to add to his sensational freshman season, scoring both of the Cavaliers goals in a 2-1 overtime win at Neosho County Community College, Friday night. The victory was JCCC’s sixth straight after starting out the season 1-4. 

Rivero gave JCCC an early 1-0 lead netting his 11th goal of the season in the 18th minute mark. Johanes Reiber provided the assist. The Cavaliers maintained that one-goal margin until the 77:50 mark, when Panther forward David Bustos scored to even the score a 1-1. 

Rivero secured the win for JCCC just two minutes into the overtime period, netting his team leading 12th goal. Sophomore Jake Walter provided the game-winning assist.
