M. Basketball – Cavaliers post big win over Highland

OVERLAND PARK, KS – The Johnson County Community College men’s basketball team got a big win over Highland, Saturday afternoon, 67-63. The victory moved JCCC into second place in the Region VI D-II standings with a 4-2 record.

Sophomore guard Christian Hildebrandt had a big day, finishing with a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds. He knocked down seven field goals, and was 12-of-18 at the line. Ten of his 12 free throws came in the second half. He also led JCCC with four steals.

Sophomore forward Myles Hibler also recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. He was 4-of-7 from the field, and 5-of-7 at the line. Sophomore forward Tony Jones added 10 points.

James Walker led Highland with 22 points.
