Golf – JCCC dominates final fall tournament

Charlie RinehartOVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County Community College golf team put on an impressive display at the KCKCC Blue Devil Fall Classic this week at Dub’s Dread Golf Course. The Cavaliers defeated runner-up Ottawa University by 48 strokes, and JCCC players posted the top four scores, including the winning score of 143 by freshman Charlie Rinehart. This is his second win of the fall season. 

Rinehart finished one under par with a 143 total. He opened with a two under par 70 and closed out with a one over 73. 

Freshman Tristan Abts followed in second place with a 36-hole score of 149 (+5). He fired rounds of 74 and 75. This was Abts best finish so far this season. 

Finishing one shot back and tied for third with a 150 total were Parker Miller and Logan Henrichs. Miller opened with a 73 and closed with a 77. Henrichs fired a pair of 75s.
